In a significant development for the Historic Westside, the Las Vegas City Council has approved a lease on October 7 for Gritz Cafe to open a location in The Good Word Market Hall. The new eatery, called Gritz Cafe Express, is planned to launch in 2027, marking an important milestone in the restaurant’s growth since its founding by Trina Jiles in 2008.
The lease pertains to stall No. 2 inside The Good Word Market Hall, also known as The Good Word Social Club, a venue anticipated to span around 9,000 square feet, with a 2,400-square-foot mezzanine designed for dining and entertainment. The project, which has a budget of $8.7 million, is part of a broader initiative to enhance the area, which includes new developments to support small businesses and provide workforce housing nearby.
