Local Community Raises Funds for Scholarship Initiatives at PEF’s Annual Hispanic and Latino Legacy Dinner

The Public Education Foundation (PEF), in collaboration with co-chairs Peter Guzman and Tony Sanchez, held its fourth annual Hispanic and Latino Legacy Dinner on October 2 at Worre Studios. This event united community members to recognize two influential Hispanic and Latino leaders while celebrating ten students who received scholarships in 2026.

Funds raised during the evening, amounting to thousands of dollars, will support PEF’s Scholarships Plus program and the upcoming 2027 Hispanic and Latino Legacy Scholarships. These scholarships aim to assist Clark County students with GPAs of 2.5 or higher, providing both financial aid and mentorship from local leaders. Tony Sanchez emphasized the importance of the event, stating it reflects community commitment to the next generation and the shared culture and opportunities for students.
